Montgomery is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Montgomery follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It's difficult to find portulaca hanging baskets, and was happy to find them here. Luckily I'm tall and was able to reach for one, since no employees were around. When I got home, I noticed it was extremely dry. When I watered it, the water came gushing out of the pot right away. I found a solution online to soak the pot in a shallow pan of water for 15 minutes and that seemed to help. This was due to not being watered in a long time. I was surprised that I had to do this, considering I bought it at a greenhouse. Anyway, I really love these plants and went back on Memorial Day to get a different colored one. It was disappointing to find several completely dead portulaca hanging baskets. It's also difficult to look at them with a bunch of tables in the way. It's no wonder they're neglected. It's also hard to find an employee for help. Other than that, there's a huge selection of many other beautiful flowers.

I’ve passed this place twice when getting lost and both times I had to stop and had a great time. They have a ton of really cool plants for any need you might want. Though I’ve never kept a plant alive in my life, last year when I stopped I bought the prettiest philodendron, a rubber tree and a pothos for inside and a hosta and coral bell for outside. The pothos unfortunately had mealy bugs so it bit the dust but EVERYTHING ELSE IS STILL ALIVE! So naturally this time I passed by I decided to hit full send. My husband and I decided we would make our own potted arrangement for our porch since premade ones are an arm and a leg and Schaefer’s had the perfect variety to make that dream a reality. I also bought a few other things… I think after 1 year I am officially a plant person because of them. I’m adding a picture of my rubber tree and philodendron after a year of having them and my new babies
